After-Hours Emergency Maintenance

The Gallup Housing Authority provides an on-call technician after hours for emergency requests only. All applicable charges listed on our charge schedule will be applied for calls outside of normal business hours.
After-Hours On-Call Number: 505-722-5000
Calls placed outside of business hours must involve an issue that affects the health, safety, or security of the unit. All other requests will be handled during normal business hours.

What Is Considered an Emergency?

The following are examples of issues that qualify as after-hours emergency maintenance:
  • No electricity within the unit
  • Smell of natural gas
  • Furnace outage or thermostat not working
  • Window completely broken out
  • Tenant locked out of unit
  • Sewer backup or clogged toilet
  • Entry door will not lock
  • Refrigerator outage

Not Handled by On-Call Maintenance

The on-call technician does NOT respond to:
  • Area-wide electrical outages, or utility emergencies. You must call the City of Gallup
    • During Business Hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm)
      Utility Dispatch: (505) 863-1200
      After-Hours Dispatch: 1-833-863-1212
    • Nights, weekends, and holidays
      Metro Dispatch: (505) 722-2002
  • We do not respond to domestic violence issues, medical emergencies, fires, or any other law enforcement issues. You must Call 911!

Important Reminder

The after-hours on-call line is for emergencies only.
Non-emergency calls may delay response to tenants experiencing urgent safety issues.
Thank you for your cooperation.
